Celebrating 90 Years of the Bradford Small Livestock Society

Following last year’s record Show, the biggest Event in the Small Animal calendar is back to celebrate its 90th Show, at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate on 28th-29th January 2012.

Organised by the Bradford Small Livestock Society (BSLS) and headline sponsors Burgess Pet Care, last year’s revitalised competition boasted a new name and new attractions, resulting in one of the most successful Shows in the Society’s history. The 2011 Show attracted over 3,000 Small Animals, 10,000 members of the public and a sold out trade area.

The BSLS and Burgess Pet Care have pledged to build on this success, by adding new attractions in 2012 with an expanded showcase strip at the centre of the trade hall to cement the event as the home of the UK’s Rabbit Grand National. At the heart of last year’s Show was an upgraded trade area with a new central activity zone, where interactive activities took place including the UK’s first ever Rabbit Grand National display. International competitors from Sweden are set to return in 2012, along with further international competitors.

Paul Threapleton, chairman of the BSLS Committee, main organisers of the Event, said: “We head into our 90th Show following the success of our 2011 Event, which was a great weekend for exhibitors, traders and the public alike. Fanciers have long known that this Show is not to be missed and it was fantastic to see so many new faces last year, we aim to celebrate our 90th anniversary with another show-stopping event for all!”

Naomi Chatterley, marketing manager at Burgess Pet Care, said: “As a company of pet lovers, we are proud to sponsor the biggest Small Animal Show in the UK. Following last year’s successes we will continue the momentum, driving the show to the next level with increased public and media interest.”

A variety of sponsorship and trade stand package are now available, starting at just £99. If you wish to take a stand or sponsor the event, showcasing your products or services to small animal enthusiasts, please contact Paul Threapleton at pthreapleton@hotmail.com to book a stand.
